I am now a ninth grade English teacher and can help in reading, writing, literature, grammar and mechanics, and essay editing. My 26 years of teaching experience includes working with students from seventh to twelfth grade. I have tutored a student in seventh and eighth grade English over the last two years and spent eight years homeschooling my own children.Also, I have worked in public and private schools, but enjoy working one on one. It allows me to create a curriculum that meets the student's specific needs. My accomplishments also include winning the Reading Teacher of the Year award for my school and also a literacy award. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College, while at Mary Washington University, I earned a liberal arts master's degree.I live in Chesapeake, Virginia, and enjoy cross stitching and coloring, playing video games, crafting, and reading in my spare time.
