Host family did not speak English; Spanish communication was required Studied Spanish for 11 years I want to be a tutor because I've done it before and loved it. Teaching language, specifically, was a high point in my college career. The time I spent with my students at the Bridge Center convinced me that ESL instruction was my calling.
